Kate, Duchess of Cambridge looks pretty in pink for Trooping the Colour

The 35-year-old royal arrived to the ceremony this morning wearing a long-sleeved bright pink dress with pleat detailing by Alexander McQueen.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s outfit was complete with a Jane Taylor hat in the same shade and a pair of diamond teardrop earrings.

Her hair was swept into a chignon at the nape of her neck and she rimmed her eyes with dark eyeliner.

Hat designer Phillipp Treacy is clearly a favourite of the royal’s.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, wore a Anna Valentine cream chiffon dress and coat with a Phillip Treacy hat.

To last year’s Trooping the Colour, the Duchess wore a cream tilted design by the Irish milliner which was adorned with a pretty flower corsage.

She also wore a cream tailored Alexander McQueen coat dress in 2016 – a much more neutral shade compared to the hot pink outfit she wore today.

And she finished the look off with a pair of Balenciaga crystal and faux pearl earrings and a pendant necklace by Mappin & Webb.

The Queen wore a pale blue ensemble with matching hat to this year’s celebrations and finished off her look with pearl accessories.

The annual Trooping the Colour parade falls on the Queen’s birthday.

The event is held every year on a Saturday in June at St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace.

It involves more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, a 400 string musical band and members of the royal family.

Trooping the Colour has been the official commemoration of the British Sovereign’s birthday since 1748.
